Fees
General information
The fees for EMQAL master are the following:
- Nationals of a Partner Country: 18000€ for the 24 months
course.
- Nationals of a Programme Country: 9000€ for the 24 months
course
PROGRAMME COUNTRIES
- The 28 member
States of the European Union (EU): Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia,
Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta,
Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia,
Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom
- Non EU Programme Countries: Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, Turkey
PARTNER COUNTRIES:
- Any
Partner Country of the world. This includes most other countries of the
world. For more information, please consult the
detailed description of the Actions of the Programme in the Part A of
the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.
There is a limited number of Erasmus+:
Erasmus Mundus scholarships
which fully cover fees and also contribute to subsistence costs and
travel. You will find detailed information in the section Erasmus Mundus
scholarships.
You may enroll the program without a grant from the EU. Detailed
information can be found in section Self-paying
students.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships
Each
year the European Commission provides 15
Erasmus Mundus scholarships
for selected students after the
selection process and ranking of the eligible candidates. In addition
to this EMQAL will on average offer 7 scholarships each edition for
students coming from special regions of the world. These are:
- Region 1 - Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and
Herzegovina,
Kosovo, Montenegro. In total 3 scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 2 - Eastern partnership countries: Armenia,
Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine. In total 1 scholarship
over the four editions.
- Region
3 - Southern Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan,
Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia.In total 3
scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 6 - Asia - Least Developed Countries: Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal. In total 4
scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 6 - Asia: DPR Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and
Vietnam. In total 3 scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 7 - Central Asia - Low or Lower Middle Income
Countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. In total 2 scholarships
over the four editions.
- Region 7 - Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan. In total
1 scholarship over the four editions.
- Region 8 - Latin America - Lower Middle Income Countries:
Bolivia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay. In
total 1 scholarship over the four editions.
- Region 8 - Latin America: Brazil, Mexico. In total 2
scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 8 - Latin America: Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica,
Cuba, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Venezuela. In total 2 scholarships over
the four editions.
- Region 10: South Africa. In total 1 scholarship over the
four editions.
- Region 11: African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States:
Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Benin,
Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African
Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo - Democratic Republic of the,
Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Equatorial
Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guinea,
Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Jamaica,
Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Marshall
Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Micronesia- Federated States of,
Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Niger, Nigeria, Niue, Palau, Papua New
Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Kitts And Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent And
The Grenadines, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles,
Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Suriname,
Swaziland, Timor Leste - Democratic Republic of, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga,
Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe. In
total 4 scholarships over the four editions.
- Region 12: Gulf countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar,
Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates. In total 1 scholarship over the
four editions.
The regions picked for a particular edition of EMQAL will depend on the
pool of applicants.
Individuals who have already benefited from an Erasmus+:
Erasmus Mundus scholarship are not eligible for a second scholarship in
order to follow EMQAL.
An individual may apply to a maximum
of three Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Master courses at the same time.
Candidates who do not comply with this rule may have their applications
cancelled by the EACEA.
The
scholarships will include the students' participation costs (including
the tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs
related to the students' participation in the course), a contribution
to student travel and installation cost and a subsistence allowance for
the entire duration of the study programme.
Details on the student scholarship amounts are given in the next
paragraphs:
Payment of the participation
costs for the whole EMQAL programme (including the tuition fees
and the full insurance coverage)
Contribution to subsistence costs
A monthly allowance of 1000€ for the entire duration of the EMQAL study
programme (24 months).
Contribution
to subsistence costs will not be given to the scholarship holders for
the study/research/placement/thesis preparation periods spent in their
country of residence.
Contribution to the travel and
installation costs
1.000€ per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme Country
(see NOTES) for travel costs.
2.000€
per year for travel costs + 1.000€ for installation costs for
scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country (see NOTES) whose
location is situated at less than 4.000 km from the coordinating Higher
education institution (HEI), that is University of Barcelona.
3.000€
per year for travel costs + 1.000€ for installation costs for
scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country whose location is
situated at 4.000 km or more from the coordinating HEI (University of
Bergen).
